  4. Badrinath: Located at an altitude of 3,133 meters, Badrinath is one of the most important shrines in Hinduism. The temple of Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is believed to be more than 1,200 years old.

The Char Dham Yatra is undertaken by millions of pilgrims every year and is considered to be one of the most sacred journeys in Hinduism. The yatra usually begins in the month of April/May and ends in November, depending on the weather conditions. Day 1Arrive at Dehradun/Haridwar and transfer to Barkot

Arrive at the airport or railway station and meet your tour operator. Travel to Barkot by road, a distance of around 200 km. Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 2Visit Yamunotri

Early morning, drive to Jankichatti and then trek for around 6 km to reach Yamunotri temple. Take a dip in the hot springs and offer prayers at the temple. Return to Barkot for overnight stay.

Day 3Barkot to Uttarkashi

After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi, a distance of around 100 km. Visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 4Visit Gangotri

Early morning, drive to Gangotri, a distance of around 100 km. Take a dip in the holy river Ganges and offer prayers at the Gangotri temple. Return to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.

Day 5Uttarkashi to Guptkashi

After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi, a distance of around 220 km. Visit the ancient Triyuginarayan temple en route. Overnight stay in Guptkashi.

Day 6Visit Kedarnath

Early morning, drive to Sonprayag and then trek for around 20 km to reach Kedarnath temple. Take a dip in the holy Ganges and offer prayers at the temple. Return to Guptkashi for overnight stay.

Day 7Guptkashi to Badrinath

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath, a distance of around 190 km. Visit the Mana village, Vyas Gufa, and the Ganesh Gufa en route. Overnight stay in Badrinath.

Day 8Visit Badrinath

Take a dip in the holy Tapt Kund and offer prayers at the Badrinath temple. Visit the Mana village, Vasudhara falls, and the Bheem Pul. Return to Badrinath for overnight stay.

Day 9Badrinath to Haridwar/Rishikesh

After breakfast, drive to Haridwar/Rishikesh, a distance of around 300 km. Visit the Har Ki Pauri ghat and attend the Ganga Aarti ceremony in the evening. Overnight stay in Haridwar/Rishikesh.

Day 10Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airport or railway station for departure.
